Fashion & beauty: From concept to consumer

The legal lifecycle of a product with RPC

Apply to attend

Ever wondered how many laws and legal decisions sit behind a “simple” product on the shelf? Join us on Tuesday 29 September for a virtual student event with RPC, where we’ll unpack the legal life cycle of a beauty product from concept to end-of-life.

In this workshop, partner Eleanor Harley will be joined by an associate as they follow a fashion & beauty product through its full lifecycle and stop at the key legal checkpoints that shape what brands can design, make, say, sell and destroy.

Up for discussion will be how sustainability rules and AI are reshaping product design and packaging, what new supply chain expectations mean in practice, and how marketing is evolving in the age of AI and influencers.

The firm will also discuss modern brand challenges including increased consumer protection, the fight against “dupes”, and the rise of resale and restoration, before ending on the growing focus to work towards a more sustainable future.

Following the workshop, attendees will have the chance to network virtually with the speakers, RPC trainees and members of the firm’s Early Talent team.

Apply to attend above. You will be asked to submit two questions to the firm.
