Beyond the Headlines: How regulation, risk & global events influence our work

With Hill Dickinson

Join us on the afternoon of Tuesday 10 November for a virtual student event with Hill Dickinson.

From sanctions and trade disputes to sweeping regulatory reforms and even wars, global events rarely dominate the headlines for long. But their impact on businesses, and the work of the lawyers advising them, can endure long after the news cycle moves on. With its highly regarded shipping and trade practice and offices across the UK, Europe and Asia, Hill Dickinson is ideally placed to explore how these developments ripple through the legal and business worlds.

The session will kick off with a presentation from leading lawyers at the firm, unpacking how geopolitical developments, market risk, and changing regulatory frameworks shape the advice they give clients. Speakers will also reflect on their own career journeys and share practical advice for aspiring lawyers looking to hone their commercial awareness. The event will continue with a Q&A chaired by a member of the Legal Cheek team.

Following the Q&A, there will be virtual networking with the speakers, members of the firm’s early careers team and Hill Dickinson trainees.

Apply to attend above. You will be asked to submit two questions to the firm.
